Apps like this will absolutely fly on UAE. I tried Mand2000 the other day, a fairly popular mandelbrot exploring program.
My A1200 (030 @ 50mhz / 8mb / hd) took 20 seconds to render a scene, and this Thunderbird 1.4ghz took just 2 seconds to render the same scene! 10 times faster under *emulation*. That really impressed me ![]() Poly type games improve no end too, Elite 2 - Frontier is totally smooth even on high detail in UAE. Stunt Car Racer appears to be an exception to this rule unfortunately. Another good one, which I haven't tested, would be animation processing in DPaint. That'd be near realtime, if not faster. The same cannot be said for doom clones though ![]() p.s. sorry, I don't have the Cinema app. |
