I was in London on holiday with my family just yesterday and had a great time explaining how exciting it was to find a magazine on the newsstand to my daughter (13). She blushed when i yelled Amiiigaaa in the Paddington station whsmith.

It's not true cringe until you pull out a boom box and do the Annex dance routine to Back For The Future!

I just got issue #27; it was a pleasant surprised to see coverage of AmiArcadia. Presumably the "Big in Japan" title refers to the download counter but by an interesting coincidence the Arcadia homebrew scene has been literally "big in Japan" for the last few years, there are hundreds of videos on https://www.nicovideo.jp/ and elsewhere about it, and many new homebrews :-D

Hey there folks, it's time for another issue of Amiga Addict. We've finally reached Issue 30 (can you believe it?), and we're tying that in with another 30th anniversary: It's been 30 years since the final Commodore Amiga, the A4000T, was released and we're taking a look at its influence over the pond and some of the unusual places it was successful. What a great machine!

"We caught someone red handed buying Amiga Addict magazine in the York WHSmith store so had to take a pic (we periodically pop in to shuffle AA to the front and encourage you to do the same:: ) . Have a good weekend! "

This issue in Amiga Addict we're looking at the Amiga's history with wargames and military titles, from early strategic titles like Gettysburg to more light-hearted affairs like North and South.

The new football season is upon us, so what better time to look at the most legendary Amiga football management game of all time - with the help of its creators, the Collyer Brothers! Championship Manager had a number of popular releases on the Amiga before it went into the stratosphere as the millions-selling international franchise that Football Manager is today. But before that, it was just a bedroom-programmed game from two teenagers and their Atari ST and later, Amiga 500. So let's dig deep into the history before this beloved title!
Also in this issue: ? Yet another classic digital coverdisk with the registered version of the awesome Scorched Tanks! ? Reviews of brand new games Tony - Montezuma's Gold and Shift. ? The final part of Gareth's epic journey through ImageFX compositing. ? A look at the enhancements to enabling access to Amiga disks on PC with the improved Drawbridge drive and new software. ? The behind the scenes story of unreleased game Dafel: Bloodline as well as an exclusive tech demo! ? Classic games QWAK, Bill's Tomato Game and Soccer Kid. ? The inventive people who fitted CD-ROM drives in their classic Amiga cases. ? All your other regular features and much more! Pre-order the magazine right now at https://shop.amiga-addict.com or pick it up in stores on 5th September! |
