CD32 / TF330 - HDD booting help
Hey everyone,
it has been almost 35 year since I was last trying to get something to work on the Amiga scene and I am feeling like a teenager once more. I would really appreciate some guidance. A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to be able to buy a CD32 (back in the day I owned both a CD32 and an a1200) I had it recapped, added a TF330 with riser, and tried several purchased CF cards to help me boot into workbench and get a fully loaded experience that I so craved. I tried and failed and then life once again go the better of me for a while and I tried no more. But I want to change this. This is my pride and joy of retro computers and consoles and I would love to be able to use it to its fullest. So where do I start, how can I take a fresh CF card and apply the required files onto it to make it boot on the CD32, what software can I use on my Mac to do this. What is needed on the CF card, do I need to purchase something more to get it working? I am sure I am not the first one to be doing this, and there must be a guide out there somewhere, but I cannot find one that seems to cover my use case. Mac CD32 Bootable CF card No other Amiga available Ageing gamer that seems to have forgotten almost everything about how to use an Amiga, despite being highly competent 35 years ago. Can anyone guide me? Thanks Steve |

Well, if you have forgotten everything about the Amiga it is better that you do not come back or it means that is not very important in your life.
anyway to boot into workbench in the tf330 just put a CF card which boot in the A1200, that's all here is a guide but it's basically that https://8bitplus.co.uk/projects/tf33...rd-amiga-cd32/ |

If you have problems setting up the CF card, as mentioned in the guide linked by stx2199, you can buy a "ready to run" CF card from eBay which include the Amiga system files to boot from.

Well I'm glad you're back
The CD32 is awesome. The TF330 is on my to-get list, as it makes an already cool console so much more capable. See how you get on with the guide, and come back here for help if needed. |
