Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker saves to the disk I believe, for the high break scoreboard.

It's possible that Wizkid does so. I recall once, that a 'Happy Birthday' screen appeared upon loading with Wizkid and a cake.

So I am guessing that it either consulted the clock and made that appear upon a certain date, or the first time it was loaded it recorded the date and displayed that message when the date occurred again.

i like these kind of things, i'll so some tries with the gamedisks

a bit remembered me Titus the Fox, when i have replayed it recently on DosBox
a message said something like 'congrats, you are still playing this after 30 years'
in my case was probably related to the system time, maybe the Amiga version does the same

Turrican 1,2 and 3 all save high scores to the disk.
