Yes, the banner might look simple, but I can tell you that it was a bit challenging not to make it look too chaotic (even if the game is). |

I don't think, that there is an end. I think it is made to be played for as long as you can handle it. How far did you get? I will be more than happy if you will put the banner to good use on your homepage. |

@CrazyOne: Thank you. BTW I reached Level 34 so far. Would be nice to know if there is a final level and a GameOver-Screen ... Maybe I try it out on Emulation with SaveStates one day.

very nice banners, you speak about PSD files so you make in with Photoshop ?
Do you rip yourself some ingame pictures or seek on differents websites ? Can you describe the process to create the banners. |

At the beginning me and TCD were using Photoshop. Nowadays I am using Gimp. I had to re-learn and recall what I knew around 11 years (or more) ago. The process goes more or less like this: - Deciding on the game to make the banner - Checking HOL for screenshots but sometimes also playing the games to get more material (especially for backgrounds). - Using a template that TCD has created years ago (for the proper size) - Cutting the title, fitting the background and playing with little sprites and details. Sometimes I look at the banner the next day few times before I decide to post it. So far I have abandoned 2 ideas but I might get back to them. I also revisit my posted banners to check if I would change something (e.g. two versions of James Pond). And that's it. I hope that it satisfies your curiosity. |

I use paint.net, for what it's worth its absolutely not the best tool for extracting graphics or composing banners but I've ripped so many graphics with it over the years that I've become really efficient at it.
