How to apply Flashtro patches to .adf files?
Hi, does anyone here know how to apply a Flashtro trainer patch (Flashtro.dms) to a .ADF file?
In addition to the above mentioned file, the package also includes another file called DMS.exe, but Windows won't open it. |

A DMS is an ASCII image file like an ADF. It can be converted to ADF with a tool like ADF Workshop.
The Amiga can run executables and DMS.exe might be an Amigados app. |

First of all thanks to all for your reply.
I will try it in WinUAE since I had Amiga in 1990/96. I am very bad at programs, that is why I only used diskettes on the real Amiga, and .adf files now. It is also a pity that Flashtro does not have a "Lunar IPS" type method to patch adf on Windows. Anyway, I see that WinUAE does not write on adf files but makes a kind of backup in another folder where it notes parameters of the change to the adf, a pity because in games that save records it does not write on the same file of the collection. I checked it with several games, example Turrican 3. Even if you create a "normal" adf and copy a game with X-Copy you can see when compressing that the weight is different, almost nothing and if you delete the separate record that WinUAE creates from the other place (another saved) that created adf file becomes useless and is useless. |

What?
I patched Tiny Little Slug with Trainer on WinUAE and the ADF works like a charme on a Gotek and real Hardware. I don't know what are you doing. Make a setup with an installed Workbench and a folder of your pc mounted to. Call that folder pc. Copy dms file to pc folder. Boot in your Workbench with WinUAE, open a shell and use command like Pc:Dms.exe write trainer.dms. when asked to put in your disk into any drive then do.it and wait till its done. Thats all.
