The link you provided is for Windows (not linux)
The correct link for linux is .. https://fs-uae.net/download#linux That said, on linux I prefer amiberry as it has a more up-to-date winuae core (winuae v5.x versus fs-uae which is based on winuae v3.x), and is actively maintained. See.. https://github.com/BlitterStudio/ami...preview-v6.3.2 |

the flatpak version works, the "normal" version fails due to issues with a newer qt5.

the flatpak should work, its a self contained setup with all the right dependencies that it needs, it doesnt use whatever is default in your system, have you tried launching it via terminal to see any error messages?
see what this does. Code:
flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=fs-uae-launcher --file-forwarding net.fsuae.FS-UAE EDIT: make sure the non-flatpak version is removed otherwise the flatpak version can pickups bits of the normal one and try to use them, below is a snip of my output that shows it does look for bits of the normal version, just remove all traces of the non-flatpak version while testing. Code:
Find executable: fs-uae - Find executable in plugins dir Check executable /home/pc/Documents/FS-UAE/System/FS-UAE/Linux/x86-64/fs-uae: NO Looking in legacy plugin directories Check executable /home/pc/Documents/FS-UAE/Plugins/FS-UAE/Linux/x86-64/fs-uae: NO Check executable /home/pc/Documents/FS-UAE/Data/Plugins/FS-UAE/Linux/x86-64/fs-uae: NO - Find executable side-by-side Check executable /app/bin/fs-uae: YES Last edited by DisasterIncarna; 18 June 2024 at 11:03. |

Apparently, according to fs-uae.net, you can just run the Launcher with the --arcade option Code:
fs-uae-launcher --arcade Never used, nor tried with the flatpack version, myself though. Last edited by midimax; 26 June 2024 at 12:43. Reason: typo |

Hello,
Allow me to intrude to say i uninstalled my repository FS-UAE (The one which didn't come with the launcher) and i installed the flatpack. For some reason, my Xubuntu does not want to use the "install programs" application to run the flatpack i downloaded so i had to install it by command line via a generic tutorial i adapted. So, i worked it out. I have the launcher and even a menu icon ! Much better that way. Thanks for those who helped ! I checked, i have the same problem with any flatpack so it is not a FS-UAE issue. Strange. But desktop Ubuntu flavors seem to be less and less polished as the years pass. |

Yes ! In the upper left corner of the window of FS-UAE launcher you have a FS-UAE icon. You can click on it and unfold a menu which has a "settings" entry; Choose it and you have among other options an option to change the language ! |
