Project X is not worthy of any remake Not as bad as Agony, though

I mean, if someone is looking to do another Bitmaps game... it's likely not going to be Chaos Engine 2, Cadaver or Magic Pockets so Xenon 2 would be the next in line.

They didn't get permission to use the name or the assets. It's only a matter of time before Team17 lawyers shut it down. Even Allister Brimble has had to take a step backwards.

Good luck to them but you can't appropriate other people's IP, especially a publicly listed company as big as Team17 are now

Why though? Why not pick a good game to remake? It boggles the mind

Thank you for the update. I was wondering why they never posted an update about contacting Team 17.

I would be in the market for a proper Chaos Engine 2 and not whatever we got. Or a Chaos Engine remake.

For the Amiga at 50fps full screen 320x256. That would be something.

It's the literal topic of the game jam Make a sequel to an Amiga game which never had one. So eh... the reason boils down to "for fun".

Seems like a big ask for a game jam though.

Hi all, I hope you are all still listening to my Amiga Works album from time to time.

Today, I'm very excited to share with you a new Kickstarter for a remake of the video game "Project X", re-imagined for the modern era. If successful I will either be making a new remake of the Title theme or an entire game soundtrack.

I send this to you as the designer / coder has already got it running to an impressive standard, and now needs funding to complete the project. So, if you are a Project X fan, please check out the various tiers and see if you would be interested in backing it.

Thank you for sharing it!
Project evolve every day and I want to meet players expectations that's why every comment is important for me. Check dedicated FB page https://www.facebook.com/ProjectXLightYears

I've merged both threads. Please check if a new game already has a dedicated thread before creating a new one.

As said earlier, Alister has distanced himself from the developers and the Kickstarter until the developer get a license to use Team17 IP or rebrands it.

Believe or not but many players prefer it much more than beautiful Cygni game. If not for you that's fine. I don't play every game as well...

I plan to use AI-generated content in my project.

What parts of your project will use AI generated content? Please be as specific as possible.

I have used midjourney.com to create variants of level backgrounds using artwork created by friendly designer.

It will be adjusted soon as some big changes coming to project. Some amazing news

Alister. We’ve been “friends” for a long time. He posted about it and I suggest he talk to the developer and Debbie/Steve.

Good luck. He knows I'm a fan and I wanted to happen. But I'm also a Team17 shareholder
