So when I try without any audio files, I get the "This game has audio tracks on its CD" message, and after clicking OK, the entire Amiga locks up. This is actually what happens for all FM Towns games, whether I have audio or not. All the other games I have tried (including Monkey3) work great. I always have to reboot the Amiga after trying the FM Towns games.

I just tried Indy3 FM-Towns with ScummVM 1.5.0 on the same machine, and I am able to start it. However, it has no CD audio, so that's a disappointment.
I don't understand why this would work in an older version. Tried it again with 2.1.2, and 2.1.2 has the same problem 2.5.1 has with locking up the machine. Last edited by ChefDeadpool; 29 June 2024 at 20:48. |

I also wanted to add that I am able to play the "talkie" versions of MI1 and MI2 that have constant WAV audio playing for the soundtracks, and these also function just fine.

Another thing I am noticing, is that on the Mac version of 2.5.1, I am able to add AGS games. This version of 2.5.1 is unable to add them, and does not recognize the AC2GAME.DAT file in the directory that is supposed to tell the engine that there is a game there.
Could these problems be filesystem related? I am using PFS3AIO. |

No idea why it's having trouble with some FM towns titles, as far as music playback the only supported formats are WAV and Ogg vorbis. Update: I just did a minor release to Aminet, no idea if it will help or not though. Last edited by NovaCoder; 01 July 2024 at 00:43. |

I tried the latest 68k rtg but it sadly doesn't allow me to play the FM towns of Monkey Island II, it says it doesn't support the dual layer system. It has to be the best version out there

Yep I had to disable it in the last release because it wasn't playing nice with 8 bit display modes, I doubt I'll be doing any further releases using this old AGA/RTG 8 bit code base. If I do another 68k release of ScummVM then it will be using Opengl and only support true color displays.
