For Toni Wilen (WinUae New Feature)
Hello, I would like to provide a good feature for future versions, maybe WinUae 6.0.
I was thinking and I took the time to edit my idea with graphics, which I love. It consists of being able to change "On the fly" the ADF disks in the DF0 disk drive without having to stop the emulation, this would be possible by adding a disk cabinet to the DF0 disk drive (See images), you would simply place the disks by number in the corresponding place in the cabinet, then during the emulation when a disk is required, turn the mouse wheel and change from + to - within the loaded partitions, wheel roll down +1 = Disk 1, Wheel roll down again +1 = Disk 2 and so on, the same in reverse of the wheel, another option: pressing the wheel down (button Swith) to lock swaps, pressing again to unlock swaps. But in addition to this it could also be done with the arrow keys since they are rarely used, mainly in trainers and it would not affect their operation. I leave the images so you can see what the new options section would look like: Images links: e.radikal.host/2024/08/16/FDG1.jpg e.radikal.host/2024/08/16/FDG2ecc1135bca5b43ff.jpg e.radikal.host/2024/08/16/FDG3.jpg Last edited by Lewis; 16 August 2024 at 20:25. |

Not that I know of, but it would be nice to be able to load all the discs for a game like that and not have to stop the emulation and pause the music playing and have to watch the white screen.
And the disk indication should be on the image (top layer) as when we use the Fraps program, if you could choose the position on the screen it would be the best of the best? |

Read this article. Disk swapper does what you need. You just need to use the key commands. No need to go back to the settings window.

Works flawless. But every time I need it I need to lookup the keyboard shortcuts again

Honestly, I hadn't seen it, or rather, I didn't stop to look further down because I thought that in the floppy drives section there should be an option like that and I didn't find it there. In any case, I think my idea is not bad and easy to use.
Thank you all for your responses. |
