Please try hard mode and see if accurate shooting is enough to beat the game in hard mode...
Not sure how I beat this with cheat mode, as I used minimal shooting as well.. I'll give final release a go tomorrow thx |

Just had a go with the cheat on, on hard. 1 bullet left after the first gun (but I used x2 bullets to activate the cheat mode). 1 bullet left after pistol. 1 bullet after machine gun, and 3 bullets left after the chain gun, with both grenades to spare (each saves 4 bullets).
I notice the bullet holes in the scenery appear when shooting enemies, causing glitches and artifacts, but thats ok. I also noticed ammo is set to 0,0 on the game complete screen - which can probably cause an instant dealth. Last edited by lifeschool; 10 August 2024 at 16:10. |

Do certain guns push 2 bullets instead of 1? Because I noticed some guns do that...
I thought the machine gun does 2 bullets on one click becuase of the spray effect? Or is that incorrect? Should all 1 click equal to 1 bullet spent? |

1st gun should be 2 bullets per shot. Pistol is 1 bullet. I think machine gun is 2, and chain gun is 4 bullets per shot.

Crysis V1 Feedback
I Finished the game in Hard Mode only (Difficulty 3). Both with and without cheats, both skipping and not skipping cutscenes. The game worked perfectly. No error screens or issues were encountered. I found I had enough bullets towards the end of the game... Accurate shooting in Hard Mode shows 3 bullets remaining (which, in reality, is only 1 bullet left). ... Final Boss in Hard Mode: clicking the left mouse button when you have no bullets also fires a grenade. I'm not sure if this was made intentionally. Might it make more sense that the grenade is only used with "right click"?? ... Any intentions on adding Delta Difficulty? Other than that, the game is perfect and a lot of fun. AmigaBill's twitch launches with Crysis Icon, Like you said, "Main Menu" should be forced on the first launch. I'm not sure what he means by GFX glitch; I don't see it. Maybe he's talking about the slide GFX? BTW, the clock matches my window clock. Though I didnt see the analog clock in my HDF like in AmigaBill's Video? |

I guess I should add at least 1 extra bullet, so they have 4 at the end - just enough for the boss. Quote:

Yes, all of the clocks in the game are set to the WB Real-Time Clock, so they should be close to real time. There was also a hidden message for Bill on the Quick Menu, by clicking the Crysis logo, but he did not click on it. This will have to be changed for 1.01. I'll also close the analogue clock on the Crysis Menu - this is not a feature of crysis is should not be there. Last edited by lifeschool; 12 August 2024 at 16:48. |

Thank you. I'm very happy to share this experience with someone other than myself.
I had a play with screen widths. I can change the screen and window widths anywhere I like in every other mode, except for HAM mode, which is fixed to 320. So I can't try my off-screen draw idea. With the small details like 1 extra bullet and forcing the player to see the menu, I'm not in any big rush to release another update. Maybe later. |

@lifeschool - I tried v1 on a real A3000 with 030 @25 MHz, 128MB fastram. I got as far as the introduction video that zooms in on the island but then the game crashed to Workbench. Tried it a few times and this happened. Any idea what's going wrong/how to get beyond that? Thanks

1.01 Released.
So that fixes the bullets, and the small issues. I tried to fix the analogue clock on the game menu but it refuses to play ball, so it will just have to stay like that. I changed "Error Happened!" to "Click Clock to Close", and then this error message will make sense to the user. I dont want to give the player any more bullets on hard, as the game is too easy as it is. Especially if the player uses grenades to save bullets. You just cant miss , or shoot birds, except once maybe. Thats all of the small bugs I wanted to fix, and I'll release the LHA tomorrow maybe. Last edited by lifeschool; Yesterday at 20:16. |

Does the game crash as the theme music starts, or do you not hear it? What happens if you launch the game from the Crysis icon, or by clicking Continue on the Quick Menu? Perhaps you can use the quick menu to play the game for now. Nothing special happens when drawing the menu. It loads files off the disk and displays them. It can cause issues if you have CPU caches enabled, so please try the CPU command or switch off CPU caches with the hidden reboot menu (hold both mouse buttons and reset). Other than that, it's either a libraries conflict, or a timing conflict with another app, or perhaps issues with Iprefs. Try using no startup-sequence with the reboot menu, and see if typing the name of the Menu works from CLI? Last edited by lifeschool; Today at 14:29. |

1.01 - Feedback
Hard Mode - Completed, No issues. The extra bullet would be helpful for others... There are 7 bullets (2 Shots) Remaining at the final Boss with no misfires in game. While the final boss heads toward you... ... You can fire unlimited bullets anywhere away from the bird. It goes to Zero bullets then -2 Bullets and keeps on rotating back and fourth with unlimited gunfire ability? ... You can't fire at the flying duck while the final boss is visible? ... Why does the left Click on Final Boss Kill the boss with a grenade effect? Maybe make it as though the remaining bullets have no effect on the boss, forcing the player to then and only use right click for the greande to win? Last edited by ransom1122; Today at 06:03. |

* - Odd Bullets bug - players have enough, even though bullets is an odd number. * - Unlimited bullets on boss screen - maybe I should fix this * - Invulnerable duck on boss screen - maybe they are protecting their mother? This is fine I guess. * - Force player to use grenades - I dont think enough players know about them. There is also the issue of the moving hit box on the bosses head. If you use a grenade, you ignore the hit box, even if the player has ammo. I dont think I can do much about that. Last edited by lifeschool; Today at 17:34. |

I never clicked cheat mode or debug mode, so maybe that's why I had that number.. i do have a savestate file to re check ammo levels at end, but that would only work with my hdf...
As for the other stuff, yeah their minor but it's a just things I notice |

The chain gun ammo always starts with the same amount of bullets on hard, so even if you used debug options, the ammo should still be an even number. I'll check to make sure ammo is an even number in the code (remembering there is 99 in the cartridge, an odd number). With normal and easy, I think the player gets 99 + 99, so 198 total - which does not divide evenly by 4... The next update might take a while longer, as I need to finish off some other things first. |
