Nice, thank you.
![]() I ran a "probe_all" on TjLazer's dump, I always do that to check before doing anything, and track 77.1 + 79.1 came up. ![]() |

![]() Using the format " * amigados_unknown_length " on TjLaZer's scp also gave missing sector errors - so lucky I have a copy or 2 of the NTSC release. ![]() |

Wonder why I keep getting errors on my dumps. Bad drive? Disks seem clean.

@Keir
I had a go with your new Dark Side crack utility added to Disk-Utilities. Everything went fine, except MD5 sum of generated darkside_cracked.adf don't match expected MD5 sum. The adf seems to be working just fine, maybe it's just a checksum typo ? I have put terminal output and adf in the Zone. |

Please clean up and redump, i'll zone a proper IPF in the zone. the mould zone can be easily seen with the HxC tool : ![]() Please note also that Batman the movie NTSC is not using a copylock, but track 0.1 is an Amigados Longtrack (length $36xx). Last edited by dlfrsilver; 03 July 2024 at 00:03. |

@Keir : Retroplay sent me the dump of LiuWu's Challenge from Lasersoft 1990.
This game uses 4us bitcells..... The tracks are in GCR format, i can't process this title. A mac was used to write the tracks. Can you check it ? (Tell me if the dump is needed). Thanks ![]() |

I recently acquired retail disks to Super Skidmarks and it came with Track Disks 5 & 6 as well as the v2.21 Data Disk. I noticed that these have never been made into IPF's as far as I can tell.
I dumped them using my Greaseweazle into Kryoflux Raw at 5 revs and have uploaded them to The Zone. Are they any good for creating IPF files at all? Last edited by sean_sk; 30 July 2024 at 08:03. |

Thanks for that. I've looked them over and they seem clean, can't see any mold or dirt. But that's not to say they still don't need a clean. So yeah I'll wait and see what he says regarding cleaning them.

@dlfrsilver
I've been trying to create working ipf's for Super Skidmarks Track Disks 5 & 6. I was hoping to make them available to others using my retail disks but it's seeming like an impossible task at the moment. I am having particular difficulty with Track Disk 6 for a couple of reasons: 1. Disk-analyse reports 14 tracks damaged (unformatted) when I try to convert my copy to ipf. I tried cleaning but still no dice. 2. I tried the version you created using Powercopy. I successfully created a working version of Track Disk 6 with Powercopy and then dumped it. But when trying to convert it to ipf, disk-analyse reports all tracks as unformatted. Even the adf you created does the same thing. Do you still have the original Track Disks 5 & 6 that could be made into ipf's? I would like to see if I can use them to repair mine, especially Track Disk 6. Anyway, thanks for your time. ![]() |

Unfortunately I already tried these a couple of weeks ago and they're not the original retail disks. I think they're the cracked AmigaDOS versions, which I can't use to repair mine. Disk structure is completely different as shown in the pictures. First pic is my retail copy, second is the TOSEC version. |

![]() the original disks of Super Skidmarks were incredibly and badly mastered. This is why we still don't have proper IPFs of the disks. I wonder what they used or did, or if the mastering tool was correctly working or not. For me, each tracks should be checked in term of contents by either Keir or Abaddon, because something is wrong somewhere. The tracks can be installed from the disks, but the tracks answer for some as faulty when you try to dump the disks and encode them. There must be an explanation regarding this. Up to this day, we still don't know. |

Sean : I can make a working Track Disk 5, at the condition of discard tracks 00 to 21.
Those contains no usable data, while they should be formatted in Acid format. Only tracks 22.0 to 79.1 contains the 6 tracks stored on the disk. Regarding Track Disk 6, if we can't get a proper original disk, we should then reverse the track format fully (tracks with data, layout + Directory track 79.x), then someone should code a new mastering program able to reencode clean disks. |
