Hi all!
I'm still working on the ClassAct UI for AmiModRadio but a working beta is available here. It implements most features, except for the preferences To use the ClassAct UI instead of the MUI one, just use the command line or tool-type parameter CLASSACT Cheers! Tygre seems that Hip v2.57 does not work with AmiModRadio
ClassAct version goes into Guru on OS3.9 BB4 and Guru on OS3.2.2 Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 04 April 2023 at 00:07. |

Hi AmigaSystem!
Thanks for your tests! HiP 2.57 works well for me here, what's happening when you use it? For OS v3.2, indeed it crashed , which made me realised that I was using ClassAct v2 instead of v3.3 for my tests! I put a new version that works well now on AmigaOS v3.1 and v3.2 with ClassAct v3.3... Let me know! Cheers! |

ClassAct version now works well, GUI is a little big, in the future can it be adjusted?
HIP 2.57 sometimes when searching for songs it opens a request file ! |

Hi AmigaSystem!
For HiP, it happens to me sometimes too, it's a "bug" in HiP. I reported it something like that to Koobo already... For the ClassAct GUI, try running CAPrefs (the ClassAct prefs daemon) or launching the prefs program .../ClassAct/Prefs/ClassAct, it should fix the GUI. (CAPrefs could be run from your User-Startup.) Let me know! |

I normally use OS 3.9 BB4 AfA OS which has "ReAction" and all GUIs are adjustable im height and width, in theory also AmiModRadio should have this property if it uses "ReAction"
Does it make sense to install ClassAct on OS 3.9 BB4 ? I tried anyway to start ClassActionPrefs, but I didn't understand which option to change ! |

Hi AmigaSystem!
On my system, just opening the ClassAct prefs and saving them (without even changing anything) would "load" the prefs and AmiModRadio would look nice I know about ReAction but how to get it for v3.1? Cheers! |

Hi all!
Getting closer to v1.0 Here is a new beta with the ClassAct UI almost complete! The prefs. are almost all there, the rest of the UI is only missing the child windows for (banned) directories/files. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to have scrollers when putting gadgets in a layout (or some other containers) in ClassAct? ReAction has the virtual.gadget but I can't see anything similar in ClassAct v3.3. Alternatively, does anyone know if I could distribute ReAction virtual.gadget with AmiModRadio / whom to ask? The answer is probably "no", but it's worth asking (Please, no fight about who owns what!) Cheers! |

The ClassAct version works well, but the GUI is not as nice as the MUI version.
On OS39. the GUI is too big and cannot be adjusted, and buttons are too far apart, on OS 3.2 it turns out a bit smaller but is still big. In favor of the ClassAct version, the GUI part dedicated to Prefs, much better than the MUI version where to see all the fields you have to enlarge the GUI. |

Thanks AmigaSystem as always for your tests
Yes, the ClassAct UI is bigger because of the Prefs "page". Currently, all prefs. must be shown (which is nice) but then the window size is adjusted to fit the content of that page, which makes all the other pages look "empty"... I'm thinking of different ways to prevent that... Any idea are also welcome! Cheers! |

Hi Tygre, as you requested I did some testing with AROS 68k, but unfortunately the new versions of AmiModRadio do not work on this system.
As be remembered the version of AmiModRadio that worked on AROS 68k was v.99995, however you can search and play mods "only" from "Haxor.fi" and "Modland", also the exit tab does not work, basically you cannot exit AmiModradio. AmiModRadio v.99995 also works on ApolloOS, but it seems that no module can be found and played. |

Hi all!
Here is a new beta version with three main parameters/tooltypes: ACT, MUI, and REA... Guess what they do I tested ACT and MUI on my real Amiga with Workbench v3.1. I tested MUI and REA on WinUAE and AmigaOS v3.2. (AmigaSystem, let's chat to try to find the problems on AROS 68k and ApolloOS!) Cheers! |

The parameters/tooltypes : REA, is not recognized, does not work !
Lately on "Modland" MODs are not found, problems on Modland site ? Also this version does not work on AROS 68k, usual problem, as on AROS One said they work up to version v.99995 |

On OS 3.2.2 from Shell the REA parameter works, AmiModRadio opens a GUI equal to the ACT parameter, same thing on OS 3.9.
On OS 3.2.2 if I use the parameter on Tooltypes Icon I get error, see screenshot, same error if I run from OS 3.9 |

Hi all!
I'm very happy to release AmiModRadio v1.0! (yes, v1.0... beta! ) AmiModRadio now comes in five flavours:
The benefit is that AmiModRadio_CLI, for example, is less than 200Ko This new version also fixes several bugs and has been tested to work with all the available sources! Please find it here temporarily until I upload everything on BitBucket and SourceForge. As usual, all comments/suggestions/translations are welcome! Cheers! Hi all!
I'm happy to release AmiModRadio, v1.0?! It fixes #7, #8, #82, #111, #136, #137, #138, #139. More importantly, I revised the design of FTP and HTTP(s) clients so that tasks have their own SocketBase and other data. This revision should prevent bugs if, for example, the rater finishes while the fetcher is still fetching data, let's cross fingers . Most importantly, I provide now five different versions: all-in-one or with only the CLI, ClassAct, MUI, or ReAction user interfaces. More choices, fewer resources! (It uses but doesn't require AmiSSL v5.16.) As usual, it can be downloaded, along with its source code:
Please contribute by asking for features, reporting bugs, or offering translations! Cheers! |
