Seems it be very poor algorithm, if 68000 version is 10x slower for 68020. Even if 68020 version used mulu.l and divu.l instructions it can be maximum 4-5x slower.

Slightly off topic but I was under the impression there was a (relatively new) graphical client for Amiga that could display a web browser running on a remote computer? (Similar to VNC/RDP). Because it's just sending a (compressed) picture to Amiga and mouse/keyboard back to the PC (or Raspberry Pi) it was low CPU overhead.
