I get quite heavy graphical glitching on the starfield during gameplay on an A1200/PAL/TF1260/WB + KS 3.2. It has also got stuck in attract mode with the "tractor beam" sound effect looping.

if you have glitches, I'd advise to turn off stars scroll. This is probably a sync problem between display and "scrolling".

I'm assuming this doesn't include A500 with real fastmem? Has anyone tried the game on that configuration?

High-score is always 0, but I see a high-score file in the folder? Real hardware. Amiga 4000.

Thanks, but it does not help. It is horizontal lines showing up from time to time.

this is a hardware sprite bug. I also have this on my A1200 after a while. Strange as the code does exactly the same all the time. DMA interaction with something else probably.

Does it happen if you completely remove the stars or maybe audio?

Is there something like audio buffers? I know I am way out there but the sound is also distorted.

Im not graphical expert, but I dont think so.
For me it looks like accumulated code bug.
Exactly trashed data or trashed register(s), f.e via movem.w instruction.
You can try to call Stage 4 as first stage, and check if graphical glitches occured.

Edit.
First time when I see graphical glitches is after ship was captured and recaptured (about 1 minutes 35 secs).
Exactly before Stage 2 was started.
Then can be init Stage bug too.
You can check without ship capturing too.

Looks like SPRxDATA or SPRxDATB not set properly or overwritten for some reason ?

Ok, now I'm lost as it works fine on WinUAE. Not a single glitch. But on real hardware the glitches are there. You'll have to wait until I can test on real hardware. It may take a while as I'm away from home.

I zoned one last version, as the gfx corruption passed undetected but it shouldn't have been. Wrong bplmod but winuae displays it fine.
