Finally completed H.E.R.O on A2600. I took me some time to go through all 20 main levels. It is just incredible that A2600 was able to play this game this well.
Played a bit Ice Hokey and Asteroids after that. Last edited by Anubis; 26 July 2024 at 13:09. |

I think H.E.R.O. is my favourite game from my youth, coleco vision version is best though.
Every new pc setup upgrade, it's literally the first game I play. |

LOL, similar to you, I usually start with some A2600 games when setting up new emulation console/station. Never played Coleco Vision version and never owned one. Isn't CV one with phone dial joystick? I can't remember last time I emulated it. (I had it setup in LaunchBox, but never played any games for unknown reason)
Last night after setting FB Neo and NeoGeo, played some games on both, finishing Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors (reminds me of Body Blows Galactic ![]() |

You should give it a go, graphics are on par with an msx, they are very similar to the msx1, main difference being the sound chip. |

Played first 13 levels and they appear to be more like C64 from what I remember, then A2600 just visually. Game itself is the same, the same level design and the same enemies through the game. Will have to check MSX game after this. Here are some screenshots from CV game and the same level (14) start screen from A2600. ![]() ![]() ![]() Biggest difference between them is that Coleco Vision had 2 buttons, one for bomb and another one for laser, whil;e A2600 had only one for laser and moving down with gun press would release bomb. I also played some Bowling on A2600. ![]() ![]() |

Started playing Call of Cthulhu today and so far I really enjoy the gameplay. It plays pretty much like a pen & paper RPG would. The graphics and animations are a bit off, but they work.
