Thanks for the info. An official release of that game for a new platform in 2024 is indeed surprising but also cool!

Trailer:

Gameplay: [ Show youtube player ] I wouldn't know why you would want to play a game which is 100% designed to be played on a home computer on a Switch... but then again I also wouldn't know why you would want to play Doom on your microwave. |

My question would be rather why would you pay 9 Euros for a game you can get so much cheaper (or free) on bazillion other platforms. The same company sells the DOS version for about 2 bucks on Steam... |

Interesting that they chose the Amiga version for the port.

It was the obvious choice; the Amiga version has much better graphics than any of the other versions around at the time.

for me it's simply because my kids already have a Switch which is portable and I'll be enjoying it while I'm on trains and planes as I can't do that with my Amiga which I've been playing EPYX Rogue since 1986 on ![]() |

If you own a console, you are not in it for cost cutting. Games that cost 10-15 bucks on Steam minimally cost 30 bucks on the Switch, it's just the way it is. Doesn't stop people from wanting to play Stardew Valley on it. Or Untitled Goose Game.

If it is really ported from the same code, the existing Amiga saved game editors such as MCE should be usable with it. I'd be interested to know the results.
