@AmigaKit
How about a slightly updated Aladdin4D for the next release of the A600GS? I get customers asking what happened to it more often than I expected. Would be nice to see it available again. |

Hmmmm, wonder what the frame rate is. Only time I had stuttering is when it got stuck in a wierd state and FPS fropped to 30 on everything. As for capture, I bough an el cheapo, as others said it worked fine. On all my devices, sound cuts in and out every second. |

I've no A600GS to check that, but please consider that a cheap crappy power supply could also cause a lot of unexpected problems whenever the voltage drops down a bit every millisecond or so while a higher load is required. These cheap power supplies may still work good enough for charging batteries in smartphones, tablets or notebooks, because their batteries will always buffer the voltage level and compensate short drop downs, and charging a battery may also work with a sequence of interrupted smaller energy packages instead of a constant voltage and current loading them continuously.
But if a crappy power supply is connected without a battery or a large capacitor to a circuit board as in the A600GS for getting a constant voltage level then you may have some side effects like noise on the audio output caused by the voltage drop downs every few milliseconds. I don't know whether this really happens, but I would recommend to try out a better power supply. A bad power supply with an unstable voltage could even damage some of the circuits on the board by the time. Last edited by PeterK; Today at 00:22. |

I have tested with 0.5 Amp (TV USB), 45W, 65W and my usual PSU 100W (all of which supply 3 Amp). None of these ever displayed sound issues. Only time I had stuttering, it was as I described in previous post. Plus dropping in and out, was only when using Capture card. Side note, think we are drifting off topic again, ![]() Last edited by FOL; Today at 10:02. |

I use a 5v 3a power supply, I know now its my capture card doing it, but I can power it too via my PC and a USB Port and does the same so its the capture card, it can not handle some HDMI signals, like on the CHA too it does the same.

Just had a idea, convert the HDMI Audio signal to RCA Analog then convert the RCA Analog signal back to HDMI Audio, might fix the audio problem then...
![]() ![]() Or covert HDMI Audio into RCA Analog then connect the audio (RCA plugs) to the PCs line in plug instead and then tell OBS to use the line in instead for the sound from the A600 GS... ![]() Just need to make sure the audio is coming from the A600 GS and not through the Capture Card. You could use the headphone jack at the back of the A600 GS and plug that into the line in plug on the PC instead but when I tried it, audio was only coming out of HDMI and not the plug on the back of A600 GS so could not get it to work. mmm... Bluetooth sound is interesting, that might be a way but I need a Bluetooth speaker and I do not have one, I have Bluetooth on my PC I wounder if I could use the PC like a Bluetooth Speaker. I can not use my headphones with the jack plug that on the back of the A600 GS, my headphones work in my PS5 controller, the headphones work on my Mobile Phone too, it has a mic so has 4 connectors on its plug so does not fit the jack plug on the back of the A600 GS, thats a 3 connector plug only so you can only use normal headphones with it, shame you never added a 4 connector jack instead, a 4 connector jack is uses on the Raspberry PI too, I thought... `why is it not going in` weird, then realised why.. ![]() Last edited by spannernick; Today at 19:13. |

Just turn off A600GS HDMI audio and plug in a 3.5mm analog audio cable between A600GS and PC sound card "Line In". Use your PC software to select different audio source. Job done. Last edited by alexh; Today at 19:36. |

You tried not capturing audio with video and selecting it seperate. Add new device and select audio capture. Get audio that way. I have to wait til I get home to test if it works. Encoders are available, however they are expensive. I did find one for £90, but can't justify spending that, just to convert analog to HDMI. Maybe when flame thrower arrives. |

Oh just remembered something...
When I plugged the A600 GS into my TV it had no resolution in the display settings in the menu so it was greyed out and A600 GS was on RES 1024x768. I thought I get a pic of my TV's model number if it helps.. ![]() Its this one... https://www.manualslib.com/manual/65...-L42vk04u.html The date on the Manuel says 31.05.2011 when it was made, so I bought it bran new then, I only change my TV if it brakes down so it has not ...yet... ![]() ![]() Last edited by spannernick; Today at 19:10. |

Still no need for any of it. The A600GS has a 3.5mm stereo analog audio output jack.
All you need is the right cable and you should be able to feed audio into your PC through the sound card. Some TVs and monitors support Audio in via 3.5mm analog and video via HDMI. |
