pressing the left joystick pad down brings up a keyboard. Instructions and manual are nicely presented and best part is you can choose music while playing and other best part is I’ll be using my kids Switch ALOT more now

Thanks for the info. An official release of that game for a new platform in 2024 is indeed surprising but also cool!

I wouldn't know why you would want to play a game which is 100% designed to be played on a home computer on a Switch... but then again I also wouldn't know why you would want to play Doom on your microwave.

My most played game is Linley's Dungeon Crawl, Nintendo DS port. This game is much more advanced then Rogue and yet is immensely playable thanks to a very clever keyboard implementation. D-Pad acts as modifier buttons, giving you 32 combinations which cover most commands used in the game.

My question would be rather why would you pay 9 Euros for a game you can get so much cheaper (or free) on bazillion other platforms. The same company sells the DOS version for about 2 bucks on Steam...

Interesting that they chose the Amiga version for the port.

It was the obvious choice; the Amiga version has much better graphics than any of the other versions around at the time.
