I have never been able to get newer version to work on any PS32 with Pi3.
They can't all be faulty with same issue. Stick Pi4 or cm4 in and same newer version works 100%.

Unless your talking about, it boots EMU68, passes buptest, then just sits there on black screen.
Then that is a fault. Generally dry joints on Turion chip.

I don't think anything is faulty. It was working until I put my dirty fingers on it I just replaced the old 0.3 by the 1.0 files and...it's not working anymore.



BUT : the grey pistorm splash screen appears, and the version in the corner is the correct one.

My backup ? What can I say... I was so stupidly confident that I didn't make a backup.


anyway, last test I did (to be sure nothing is wrong with the amiga), I started successfully the system on my cf drive, without the pistorm. OS is working fine. So the problem is on the pistorm.

Pm me your email. I will send the version I do testing on for PI3 with.
It is just pi files, setup to run as accelerator with extra ram and buptest enabled. NO ROMS!!! though.

edit 2 : I tried to reinstall the files, but letting the original config.txt in the archive (where the initframs line is not commented) : same result. So here's the problem : the pistorm cannot find both software (I never had one) or hardware roms.


edit : by the way, I have a licence of amiga OS 3.2 : I '"ve got a bunch of roms on the cdrom, wich one I need to make a test of software rom ? do I have to rename it ? thanks

edit2 : here we go. I went on my 3.2 cdrom, and copied the 1200 rom, and renamed it kick.rom. Then I put it on my sdcard. ANd new things happened :

That looks just like booting without Startup-Sequence so I guess it doesn't find anything to boot from.

It's not just the kickstart screen, it actually gets into something. What do you see if you type dir in there.

It has booted from the emulated HDD directory on the uSD. You need to disable the PiStorm uSD HDD in config.txt so it will boot from IDE or a better idea would be to install WB 3.2 to the uSD card

Go to the early startup menu and from boot options select your CF on the A1200 IDE to boot from.
If that works time for the next step and that is installing 3.2 on uSD card like alexh said in the previous post.
It's soooooooo much faster!

Just to add a data point to this, I'm having the same issue. Rev 1D A1200, Pistorm32-Lite, Pi 3B+, OS3.2 installed on the Pi's SD.

Using the Emu68 that was current when I bought the card - 0.13.0 (27.04.2023) - everything works fine.

Replace this with Emu68 1.0, I get green screen, red, pink, you name it. No booto.
