IIRC the one on Ramix carrier is 20A. What are the other DIY ones rated for?
5A should be fine for the Ragnarok. I'm kind of surprised at this suggestion, I haven't carefully measured it, but I would expect the Apocalypse and Ragnarok to be quite close with the Apocalypse maybe actually consuming more power.

7A would be better for a busboard, since you might actually have multiple 3.3V devices (like a Radeon 9200(but that doesn't do Warp3D so it's actually minimal.))

Of course, if you're planning on overclocking then the sky's the limit.

I don't have Ragnarok myself so I couldn't test that. I thought Ragnarok used more power than Apocalypse.
I have an Apoclaypse at 600MHz and 256Mb that works without any problems with the 5A regulator but the regulator gets warmer than with a non-upgraded Apocalypse. If you only upgrade the memory, you will already feel that the regulator is running a bit warmer.
On my test A4K with Firebird, I removed the regulator and took a 3.3V wire from the SFX PSU and soldered it to the 3.3V on the Firebird. That works without any problems here and saves a lot of heat.
I also overclocked my Voodoo3 to 196MHz and it runs without any problems.
I'm now getting 55 FPS in GLQuakeWOS.

I have 58,6 FPS without any overclocked Apocalipse (450MHz):

You have a Mediator. Mediator is faster then the Prometheus.

Probably yes.
Dennis Boom says that Mediator should be a little faster

They end up being pretty close in power consumption. The G3 750FX on the Ragnarok has the L2 cache on-chip, while the G4 7410 on the Apocalypse has 2MB of L2 on the board.
The 7410 G4 is just a more advanced CPU with Altivec and a better FPU, but it doesn't clock as high.

The 750 G3 ends up being faster in most cases just because it's clocked so much higher.
If we actually had many applications using Altivec the Apocalypse might actually use more power.
Which is why we need on of you brave souls to upgrade their 750FX on the Ragnarok with a 750GX at say 1GHz for that sweet full 1MB of on-chip L2 cache.

Ragnarok is faster than apocalypse but the difference isn’t as dramatic as the 800 to 450Mhz clock difference might suggests
