Never said i took offence, people are way easily offended nowadays…..all i said was i cringed at him saying it, though i suspect his puppet-masters wrote his script for him.

I'm envisioning a 50 hour audio book on this one, LOL. I might back the project but do wish his other already published books were easier to find in bulk. Here's hoping it becomes trilogy and is as gripping and exiting as the three volume book linked below.

Did any of you watch the AmigaBill interview?
The book will start off with them buying the rights to Commodore and Amiga. David's idea was to sell the Commodore name to 3rd party manufacturers so you'd have a plethora of Commodore electronics and possible other things. I would not have been surprised to see Commodore toasters, microwaves, TVs, Hi-Fis, maybe even lawnmowers. (there were commodore lawnmowers, just nothing to do with this commodore) The revenue of this was intended to fund R&D for Hombre and AAA but I think even with the best will in the world you're still looking at a late 90s release of either such system. I expect the will wangle it in the book so that they were able to compete with the PS2, Dave Hayne references that console a few times in the interview. I'd also expect that by the time of any such release the machine would also NOT be Amiga branded as David hinted to this in the interview as well. So you'll get Commodore household electronics in the mid 90s selling along side what's left of our Amigas. I expect an AAA based machine to be branded something else for example "Amiga 2". Hombre will be a Commodore "something" console. You can expect this mythical Commodore to be just behind Sony and Apple the whole way to the finish line, it wouldn't make for a very good story if they were market leaders throughout so it'll be win some loose some. But it will be an interesting read and more so on the engineering side of it represented by Dave Hayne as he said he is looking at it from a logical standpoint of were they where and were they would have gone. If I recall they are going to include some technical info, possibly schematics but I expect more so block diagrams. Still will be cool to see. |

Respect is earned by one's actions, not by their age. Pleasance has not earned any, quite the contrary. But sure go ahead and waste your money giving it to him, with his track record. Amiga people will never learn. |

Of all the options this "fits" pretty well actually
Combine it with a sophisticated and demure Commodore Eau De Cologne and you have a hit for the well-to-do saggy bottom demographic |

Looking forward to the upcoming books "Why I was disappointed with the A1200", along with "Amiga questions you've always been too embarrassed to ask".
