Codeprobe on 3.2.2
Please could someone with sasc 6.5 and OS 3.2.2 try Codeprobe and tell me if it’s able to load the source file or not? My instance refuses to run and display the source for debugging. Another machine with the same copy on amikit works fine.
You’ll need to build with something like ‘sc debug=symbolflush link filename.c’ Then ‘cpr filename’ Thank you |

Some extra details.
cpr starts with it usual copyright message then; Code:
program exited with code 0 Error: error opening source file c https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bp1...ew?usp=sharing can anyone decipher this? additionally, I have now tried this with ClassicWb and 3.1 Rom and cpr runs as expected with the same copy of SASC, ie. it can find the source. |

I have SAS/C 6.59 and my AmigaOS is the latest alpha rather than OS3.2.2, so not exactly like your system, but it does work here.

Also curious to find the 6.59 patch. I can only find as late as 6.58.

EDIT: Also cpr has no problem showing source on 3.2.2.1 here. Last edited by hceline; 14 July 2024 at 04:59. |

Yes, rtg on a pistorm running Musashi. Amikit on Vamprire (with rtg) runs cpr fine. is there some issue with using sasc, cpr etc with RTG setups? Last edited by JackLeather; 15 July 2024 at 12:27. |

I noticed that with RTG sometimes cpr would start but show nothing on screen. It turns out the content was there, but the rendering was funny. Resizing the window made it visible.
I'm going off memory here and will have a look later to remind myself of what it was doing. If you run it in native amiga gfx mode, do you still have a problem? |

Thanks for your response, i'm losing the plot here. Cpr just cant find the source it reports; Code:
program exited with code 0 Error: error opening source file c I have also just built a fresh installation with Coffin and Cpr still cant find the source on that either. slightly different error message tho, cant find 'file c.a' rather than 'file c'. Code:
program exited with code 0 Error: error opening source file c.a I'm begginging to think its something to do with Pistorm, althought this is the first problem i have seen TBH. I have an A2000 with a vampire 500 v2 and it can find the souce with an old build of amikit, but it really needs a rebulid. |

i have just updated the my Amiga 2000, which has a Vampire (core to 2.17) and installed the latest Coffin release. Guess what; SASC / Cpr runs perfectly and finds / shows the source. as it did with the old build of amikit. i'm guessing that 3.2.2 will also. Can i ask the previous posters who reported Cpr was running; what hardware are you running on? Pistorm? |
