I'm not saying they should change anything, in fact I rather hope they won't - but unfortunately in 2024 it is something to at least consider if you want to publish for a wider audience. |

As an aside, I'm kinda jealous of your, and whoever else thinks these things don't matter, attitude. It'd be nice to live in such sweet oblivion, because I hate these things dearly. As it is though, the real world out there does what it does. |

It's rather sad that many people in here seem to lack basic reading comprehension.
Hopefully the devs will fare better and get what I'm trying to say. |

I get what you're trying to say but, like the others, I wholeheartedly disagree with what you're saying. If a high-level politician or college professor said the same as you, they would be just as wrong to say it as you.

No, you don't.
Just like the others, you're trying to make out as if it was my opinion/concern, when it should be rather clear it is not. I'm simply saying that it might be some other people's opinion/concern, and that's not something you can "disagree" with. It's a fact of life, it's the world we live in. These things happen all the time, and for even more stupid reasons than what's possible here. Last edited by dreadnought; Today at 07:57. |

Alpine 9000 did ask for our feedback and this is what dreadnought has provided.
I must admit at one point I had the same thought that some more sensitive people might read something into it. Since dreadnought made his posts I noticed the 2 player characters you can select straight off in the demo are white which again might add fuel to the fire for those more sensitive people. I'm not saying I am offended but I am saying I agree with dreadnought that some people (especially those more sensitive people) could feel that way. Surely that is valid feedback. |

Although the basic idea is interesting, in the end self-censorship is counter-productive because it falsely smoothes out reality according to criteria that each person interprets according to their own value system derived from their environment and upbringing. It's hard enough to have a clear-cut opinion in the long term, so to start thinking about what others will think of this or that is to get yourself into a bit of a pickle.
The game's story is what is is. Leave it alone and enjoy. Otherwise ask also yourself why you can't select a small-sized person, a drag-queen, a non-binary person, an Asian type person, a kid, an animal, etc., etc. ,etc... |

"sensitive" people will read something no matter what you create.
If they wanna find something to be offended, they will find it. Fully agreed. However, I do appreciate dreadnought warning. I am fully positive he have the best intentions, and just wanted to warn creators of what might happen. |

Just ignore the partypooper please. |
