MAME and Final Burn Alpha mostly, for arcade and PC Engine.
Altirra for 8 bit Atari FUSE - Spectrum Re-Dream - Dreamcast Yuzu (still) - Switch Dolphin - Wii and GC RPCS3 - PS3 .. the list goes on to be honest. Really hate retroarch, needs a lot of fiddling with to setup properly, but does have its uses. Finally, use Launchbox to run all the above emulators in one place. |

I tend to just see what Tools I've downloaded in the past rather than download something. Currently using old version of Gens Sega Mega Drive Emulator.

Just some of my fav old emus from back in the day. I became aware of the emu scene back in 1996.
snemul then ZSNES KGen98 then Megasis Massage (Sega Master System) never really liked MEKA Frodo Atari800Win PLus PaCifiST then WinSTon, never liked SainT. Obviously WinUAE, the best and greatest. These were the trailblazers for me. |

[ Show youtube player ] Using GL surfaces instead of 2x graphics could solve this slowdown issue. This is something that I've used when porting my games to different platforms and wanted to keep them screen resolution agnostic. |

here tried some udated Megadrive emulators like BlastEm and Genesis Plus GX
but i didn't like some behaviours, maybe Win11 related after a while i went back to the old Gens, that lacks the compatibility for the latest extra large rom images but it is imo perfect for all the rest |
