DIY'ng sampler and midi interface

Hi,

I am about to get myself a sampler and a midi interface for my amiga 500 and want to find out my options and where to look for the most up to date info.

So far this is what I am looking at:

I can get the pcbs for the these two €10 a piece.

Is this a good way to go about it? Let me know your thougths

personaly I searched and found used midi interfaces and samplers : technosound sampler, trilogic sampler and AMAS sampler. I found a trilogic midi interface (3 out one in), a artisan/DIY interface (one in one out one thru), and the AMAS wich is also a midi interface. I didn't paid that much for them...but I was patient.

Yes I think I should check that out too. But it seems to me that the diy sampler will be of better quality than many original samplers. Midi I guess it does not matter.

How much did you pay for them?

for this one, I paid around 30euros the sampler, and same price for the midi interface.



For the DIY midi interface (really well built), I paid 50euros, but it was WITH bars and pipes 2 french documentation (wich is very rare).





For the technosound, I paid about 25euros.














For the AMAS, I paid 30euros. Best deal I made, since it includes both midi interface and sampler.












I'm still working on my home studio configuration (with 2 amigas and linux pc), so I'm not sure wich ones I'll keep at the end. Or maybe I'll keep the extra hardware just in case.
