I have some strange graphic problems while using the top panel.
Does anybody has an idea how to fix it? It happens only when I use the top panel. (Whether alone or together with the bottom panel does not matter.) Changing the image with the bottom panel image results in the same effect. Here is a short video of the problem: [ Show youtube player ] |

You don't need the 224 Y resolution line then. With 2x 24 high panels and 208 Y = 256 resolution. 224 Y + 2x 24 high panels & 24 screen top = 296.

Okay, thank you. I just copied it back then from the "Amigo the Fox" demo game startup code. Now I only have left the 208 Y line.

Earok is indeed working on Lost Vikings 2, for the gamejam I believe.
Looks like there will be an OCS and AGA version to. Is early days but looks awesome. |

Lost Vikings 2 Scorpion is cancelled, a port was already underway that I wasn't aware of.

For sprite parallax make sure firstly the project is AGA (obvious am sure). Have 64 wide sprites checked. The sprite must be coloured with the indexes matching the 16 colour sprite range on the main tab, for it to wrap nicely a 256 wide sprite to. Lastly, the actor itself should have a z order set to -1000 (or whatever, but must be minus). I think actor can be just set as cpu but not at PC to confirm!
You can make the slope blocks invisible on the blocks tab, though seems you know that as the rest of the blocks are invisible by the looks of your video. |

When it comes to the parallax I had put the Z order at 9999 I must have missed the "minus." I'll see if I manage to make it work. Strangely enough the original game is A500 but the parallax, as simple as it is, doesn't repeat itself. My blocks are invisible when solid or platform, but when I use slopes (taken from GothicVania) they erase the tiles upon which I place them. So Bubba walks properly on the slope but the tile is white. Last edited by Bubba'n'Stix 2; 04 July 2024 at 19:00. |

Thank you. I thought there was something of the kind but the french translation of "layer" didn't make it clear to me. I don't know exactly if I did it the right way, but I created a second "tile layer" on which I put my slopes and unticked the "visible" option and it worked ! Damn that's so agreeable to be able to make Bubba walk on an uneven ground. Now, to the Parallax. Thank you again. Invisible slopes were very important. |

Yeah, the program Tiled uses "calque" but when I read "calque" I don't think of "layer", I think of copying something with tracing paper.
even though it works as a translation. I would have understood with "couche" or "niveau" maybe. Anyway. Thanks for the point. |

I managed to make a 32 pixels parallax.
Is it possible that Scorpion Engine cannot do the one they made for the game ? Bubba'n'Stix works on an A500 but the parallax doesn't repeat itself. It's just one color though. Here's my 32 px parallax and invisible slopes. [ Show youtube player ] |
