'Tell Me Why'
Not really a game, more of an interactive story. Not Bad --- but if I had paid for it I would have felt disappointed. |

Most other games work well obviously not every game works perfect with full upscale ** I tried for the 2nd time to play Elden Ring on PC.. As much as I want to play it, like many people say, its not for me... I can't figure out what and how the controls work.. everything seems like a "Do this attack at this time" to continue forward type of game I got the first fighting area in the open world, killed a wolf but couldnt strategically kill off all the soldiers |

Of course it's a bit more nuanced if you want to play really well and/or survive later, but for starting area it really should be enough. Though maybe you shouldn't take on more than one opponent even in there But this game has simple stealth so you can slaughter that first camp pretty easily (also can draw opponents one by one). There's also a sort of training dungeon where you start from what I remember. |

Elden Ring's controls are quite intuitive if you played any 3rd person action-ish game... with a controller. When I first tried Arkham Asylum with mouse + keyboard it felt really off. Once I used a controller it 'clicked' at once.

The tutorial is in the area called Cave of Knowledge: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.co...nded+graveyard
You probably can go back there even if you missed it at the beginning. |

Wow, you can miss the tutorial? That's next level FromSoft
Of course FromSoft will be FromSoft. In Dark Souls you get immediately thrown into a giant boss before you get your weapon There is just no better way to learn how to run and roll. No you can't. You will immediately go to jail. |

I like ER a lot, it's From Software after all, but I think I prefer the closed-world Dark Souls formula. It's just much more focused and somewhat easier when trying to figure out how on Earth to progress (which is cryptic enough as it is anyway). Here, I just wander around not quite sure how to go about the 1st boss.
Also the art assets are obviously better in smaller areas. That sprawling castle in Dark Souls III is unmatched when it comes to environmental design even now, years later. |

I've started to play Sackboy: A Big Adventure with my wife and it is a really nice co-op explore platformy game. As an added bonus my wife gets to customize her character between each level
