Siri can now control your Amiga!
Here's a fun thing you can do if you are an iOS or macOS user.
It's now pretty simple to be able to control your Amiga with Siri. In the Shortcuts app you can create scripts that can do a whole bunch of things. You execute a shortcut either by tapping on it or asking Siri to run it for you. One of the things it lets you do in a shortcut is to execute a script over SSH. Since the latest version of AmigaSSH on Aminet now contains the SSH daemon amigasshd, you can add amigasshd to your network-startup script in AmigaOS to have it automatically start when the network starts up. Siri Shortcuts can also be automated so they can for example be triggered from events like a scheduled time of day, an alarm, low battery, receiving a text from your lover etc. Here are 2 example shortcuts if you want to put them on your Apple device and edit them to suit you. You will need to change the shortcut to use the IP address of your Amiga and its SSH credentials. This one makes the Amiga say some text out loud. It requires the Say app and translator.library & narrator.device to be installed on your Amiga: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/98e...80cc31acad109f Here's a shortcut that reboots the Amiga: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/e4c...2cafb2e7d9605a |

Shortcuts is Mac/ios only I’m afraid. But you could still easily write scripts for windows or Linux instead

The scrips are inside the shortcuts which I have shared in the 2 links in my first post. Open this forum thread on your iPad then tap on the iCloud links and that will add the shortcut to your iPad and you can view/edit/execute them from there
