The holes are directly over chip RAM so maybe ventilation?

Only Claude knows for sure

Might be a good idea to attach a 20mm fan on top for cooling as I would think Lisa could get pretty toasty.

The designers would have if they thought it needed one.

Maybe but I would just in case, all that extra heat can't be good.

The holes on the FrameThrower just line up with the holes on the Tang Nano 9k

If using a decent socket, it should support itself just fine. The problem comes when people use crappy sockets and don't modify them accordingly. We tested many sockets for use on the a600 CPU, and found the good ones are so good you can lift the whole machine by the socket alone, so the 84pin version of these sockets will do the job fine.

As for heat and Lisa, it shouldn't be an issue. No other device that clips over Lisa features a fan or cooling, so not sure why anyone would think it is needed with this.

Quite agree tbh. The socket over Lisa should more than support the light weight of the PCB overhang.

Here's the A600 version for anyone interested or who hasn't seen it yet. I've had this done for over a year now, but the firmware for it still needs work so should come after the 1200 version release (I'm not a coding guy).

Theres a couple of tweaks to make (to add another rtc option) else it's pretty much ready. Though I have thought up another layout idea, but it's probably overkill so will probably stay like this.
