Hi from Herts!
Hi all, I've been lurking for a month or so here after getting an A1200.
I had a few Amigas back in the 90s - an A500, then a secondhand A2000, followed by a A1200. The A1200 ended up running NetBSD as an OS which led me into UNIX systems where I've worked for the past few decades. I did a lot of music (MIDI-based rather than trackers) back then and will try that again as I've had a small home studio for a while. I'm also a keen programmer - dabbled with 68k, C and E on the Amiga previously (I learned some Z80 prior to the Amiga). Although I mostly use python and C professionally now, I've started to refresh my 68k knowledge over the last week... Anyway.. that's me.. nice to meet you all :-) |

Welcome back, like you I recently returned to the Amiga and loving it. I'm about 30mins from you so could come in handy (either way!)

Welcome back. If you are keen, the U.K. Amiga event is next weekend in Nottingham. Called Kickstart, it is going to be epic.

Hi markh and welcome to EAB.
As you, BitD, I did install a BSD system on my A2000 for some time (it was a time my PC was running FreeBSD before I had to switch to a different OS for professional reasons) as well as tried the muFS on Amiga. As you seems to like to code, if you have some project under your elbow, you'll notice there is a nice coder section on the forum. Enjoy your return and your stay here. |
