Steel Empire/Cyber Empires WHDLoad mouse issue

I think this is probably hopelessly optimistic, but hey, I'm an Amigan...



A game I really like, Steel Empire/Cyber Empires will not work correctly with my three button mouse. This is the game:

You can see it working properly (WinUAE) at the 10 minute point.



On my Amiga I use a Coccolino adaptor and Freewheel software. It works fine except when you want to scroll the map. You would normally click on the arrow keys, and hold until the map moves to where you want to see. But with my 3 button mouse, it's as if when you click and hold the button, the hold does not persist long enough for the function to work. It works without problems elsewhere in the game.



Clicking and holding on the Workbench, for example works fine, so maybe it's a WHDLoad thing. My existing Amiga mouse has seen better days, and it would be nice not have to dig it out to play the game.



Any thoughts?

The Freewheel software and Coccolino drivers are not running in WHDLoad environment.
Have you tested with NoCache or ExpChip, in case the issue is due to fast CPU?

I've confirmed it works fine with my system (PiStorm32) when used with a standard Amiga 2 button mouse.
