Blingboard64 - New keyboard for the Commodore 64
If you're in the market to replace your old, broken C64 keyboard, check out this campaign:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/keyboard-for-your-commodore-computer#/ The campaign originally ended May 31, 2024, but has been re-opened for a limited time due to overwhelming demand from Commodore fans worldwide. In addition to the Blingboard64 keyboard replacement, also check out the BlingBox on the same page, which is a standalone keyboard that can be attached to SX-64, C128D, Amiga, PC, MiSTer, BMC64, etc. |

If I've learned one thing about keyboards/caps it's this: never, ever, crowdfund or preorder them

Are you basing that on just one bad experience in the past? The organizer / producer behind this Blingboard64 campaign did deliver on a keycaps campaign during the pandemic years, so he's got an OK track record. |

only Kickstarter(s) i have backed that went perfectly and glitchfree with superb results (for me/us at least, probably a bed of stress for him) was from Loriano Pagni's X500 project and his later KeyCap campaign.
Sadly, other "hardware" related projects ive backed have all gone horribly wrong/belly up, the only "not sure/maybe" atm being UniThor, leaving my Book/Music backings as 99.9% perfect, the only majorly bad one being Jeroen Tel's scam where he just straight up stole/spent £21,600 of crowdfunding and gave nothing at all and carried on like it never happened. Still it makes for a slight diversion every year when people go to the comments there to add another informative message to the pile. |
