RSCP v1.15 released!
INTRODUCTION:
RSCP v1.15 was completed 6 months ago! Unfortunately, thebajaguy seems always too busy to release it. Therefore, I am releasing it here on EAB until the official Aminet release is updated (at which time this thread will become obsolete). NOTE: The documentation provided is an Aminet style readme. WHAT'S NEW in V1.15? The Bytes/Sec bar graph will not be displayed until the test is run. This allows RSCP to Auto-select the 4000KB or 8000KB* size. The text output string for the transfer rate was increased to 5 digits. This should allow transfer rates > 10MB/sec to be displayed correctly. *Unfortunately, the granularity is also reduced. UPDATE: The 68000 version of RSCP v1.15 crashed with a 68000 CPU because the 68020 version of the Dhrystone benchmark was included in error. The updated v1.15.1 archive has the bug fixed 68000 version. Last edited by SpeedGeek; 15 June 2024 at 00:54. |

Looks like I somehow missed this! Looks like it's finally the benchmarking tool I was looking for ages.
Just benchmarking absolute maximum speed values isn't that useful if you're not having control on what you're testing and how. Does anyone know of any benchmark that also measures random vs linear reads on Amiga? |
