Amiga 2000 expansion trouble - perhaps solved?

Hi!

Received some new expansion hardware for my Amiga 2000 today.

Current configuration is:
- 2 MB chip RAM (ACE2b)
- GVP G-Force 030 40 MHz accelerator, 16 (now 12) MB RAM
- ZZ9000 RTG card
- X-surf 100 NIC
- Prelude sound card (replica)
- MultiFaceCard 3 serial interface

Put everything into the computer, turned it on, and were greeted with an expansion board diagnostics screen. It said all cards are working, except one that is defined as shut. Found out this was the ZZ9000 card.

After quite a bit of searching and reading, I found something in the GVP manual regarding something called auto-config and an 8 MB barrier. Page 13-14.
The TL;DR is that I removed the stick in bank 2 on the GVP card to free up 4 MB in the auto-config range, as the ZZ9000 takes up 2 MB within that range.
After removing the 4 MB from the GVP card, everything appear to be happy. I am no longer greeted with the diagnostics screen at boot.

Did I solve this properly, or could I do this different in any way?
