looking for hex editor offset values for ween, fascination and bargon attack

hi,

i am looking for hex editor offset values for ween, fascination and bargon attack for skipping the manual protection screen to play the games with scummvm.

for ween, the protection is somewhere in the file "intro.stk" i think
for fascination, the protection is somewhere in the file "disk0.stk" i think
for bargon attack, the protection is somewhere in the file "intro.stk" i think

i hope someone can help me. i already have some cracked version from other games, dos and amiga versions, but those 3 amiga versions i would also like to have cracked

you can't use cracked versions of the games that still have the code check enabled by default on ScummVM;
the engine will use the internal (original) routine instead of the cracked one

yes you can. it is working. for example, i found the right hex value for fascination. with the original file, scummvm asks for the copy protection. with the modified file, scummvm skips the protection screen, and goes straight to the game. goblins 2 and 3 the same. no protection screen anymore. and a lot of others, which i have modified. some games are skipping complete the protection screen, others u can enter what u want, the game is excepting right and wrong answers.

UrBi did some new cracks of a bunch of games, with some completely skipping the code check part;
maybe you can try those

ie this should be Bargon Attack :

bargon attack is not recognized by scummvm, because intro.stk is ca 30kb bigger as the original file. modified intro.stk must be the same size as the original. normaly only 1 or 2 bytes are patched in the file. this not makes the file bigger.

Here is what I would try:
  1. Download the whdload source for each and see what offset they patch.
  2. Get a cracked version that is the same size and hex diff them to find out the changed bytes. I assume actually this is non-viable because if you had one ScummVM would accept it.
  3. WinUAE debugger. Watch a youtube video on how this works and see someone detecting something similar.

already tried thís, but i can not find the right offsets in the package for each game. in which file can the offsets been found?

2.Get a cracked version that is the same size and hex diff them to find out the changed bytes. I assume actually this is non-viable because if you had one ScummVM would accept it.

with some games, i already did this also and with success.

3. WinUAE debugger. Watch a youtube video on how this works and see someone detecting something similar.

did not find any specific video until now
