Winuae Detecting CF Cards and SDD Devices
It appears that the HardDrive Configuration in WinUAE 5.2 and Later will only detect 1 external media device. If I place both A 4 GB CF Card and 4 GB SDD Card only one of the devices will be detected from the HardDrive Configuration Panel.
Since I have Multiple Configurations I need to Reset the USB Device, Change Cards and Restart WinUae to be able to Use Multiple Configurations. For Example I have a 4GB SDD Card for My A4000 Configuration and a 4GB CF Card for my A1200 Configuration. I am Using a Transend USB3.0 TS-FRF8K which detects SDHC , MicroSD and CF Cards as seperate devices. Can the HardDrive Configuration Panel be enhanced so a USB reset is not required to detect Multiple Devices attached? Last edited by shaf; 13 May 2024 at 03:05. Reason: Clarification |

I can't duplicate. I inserted RDB microSD and CF in USB reader. Both can be selected and both work at the same time.
Insert both cards. Start winuae with admin privileges. Click add harddrive. Quick winuae. Attach winuaebootlog.txt. |

multiple cards are detected, the window is sometimes too small for the description length to appear properly.
The issue is if 2 card have the same size such as a 4GB SD and 4 GB CF Card I'll attach a screen shot later. |

I am confused. First you said only one device is detected and now window is too small and size of device somehow affects something.. Default harddrives dialog size has not changed.
This makes no sense.. EDIT: Do you mean drive string is so long it is difficult to find out which drive is which when they have same capacity? (But that has nothing to do with winuae not detecting them) Last edited by Toni Wilen; 14 May 2024 at 20:26. |

Yes , I'm sorry The String Is not complete , even when I drag the window to Lengthen the Description the File is not descriptive enough.

You can resize list columns (drag column title's vertical separator line) and also resize the GUI window (Misc panel has GUI window resize enable button). Should fix this problem.
Real problem is those ugly and long device identifiers that also depend on used USB reader. EDIT: WinUAE could also show RDB device info fields if RDB is detected but I am not sure if it helps much. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 15 May 2024 at 18:45. |

The RDB device info field would be useful for me because some Media is SFS and others is PFS. I'll try the Misc. Panel Resize Button option.
