No, not by me - mainly because I do not have a 3D printer and have no experience making dedicated cases for things. But I have seen a couple of cases for BassMX modules on the thingyverse website.

Okay ! Thanks for your reply !
Oh, do you think it could be powered by this : https://www.amiga-shop.net/en/Amiga-...ief::1314.html or is it not advised ? I already have an Impbox powered by a USB power supply ! Which would mean 2 external USB power supplies for my Amiga ! Edit : order placed I spend soooo much time listening to mods daily, it'll make a massive difference, yay ! That's pretty cool.
Never been an issue for me on a hifi with good speakers but always sounds like ass on headphones. Difference is clear. |

How does this device compare to the now discontinued RastPort KA71, same principe or totally different?
It looked like a cool product, only thing put me off getting one was the placement of the power connector at the front, but in hindsight it also took batteries and it would have been easy to mod. https://www.amiga-shop.net/en/Amiga-...fier::827.html |

@torturedutopian - Yes, that power thief should work fine. The BassMX only takes about 4-6mA on 5V, which is considerably less than the maximum power thief can deliver.
@Lineof7s - That is absolutely brilliant! @Akiko - The device you link allows you to pan between "hard stereo separation" and "mono". This is different from the BassMX effect, which makes the lower frequencies mono, but keeps the rest stereo. |

Just got mine ! Wow, it makes quite a big difference indeed ! (I have big speakers 3.5 meters far from each other).
Makes the audio super bassy ! Very cool ! Maybe a little defeaning sometimes, I guess I should put the volume a bit lower, ahah ! Great work ! Last edited by mahen; 14 May 2024 at 20:39. |
