Fantastic work.
If necessary, it's easy to tweak the sed script I provided to cover other codes as I only took a cursory look over half a dozen articles and came up with the { followed by a single number/character as being the formatting code, so if you have a list of others I'll happily give you an update. |

@Exodus -
I did the same as you, checked a bunch of articles and decided that they must be only using A-Z + 0-9 for their control codes. I may give you a shout, if I can find a complete list of control codes. Thanks very much for the offer of an updated script. @H0ffman - Ha ha ha - How bad would that be, DH comes back to the thread in another 5 years, with a complete set of OCR'd articles. I did send him a PM back in November 2023, letting him know we were making some progress, but I didn't get anything back. TBF - based upon his (recent-ish) post history, I believe that he's had a bit of a rough year (poor lad). So may have more important things on his mind ATM. |

Right, I've finally hit the magic No of posts (50) here on the EAB forum.
As a result I've been able to create a dir on the TURRAN FTP server and upload all of these extracted files (from issues 10-21). My username on the TURRAN FTP server shows as "GeordieJedi" (No hyphen in my username on the TURRAN FTP server - unlike my username here on EAB). There are two versions of the files: 1. All the text files in GV issue > Disk No / letter > Text files (in ASCII text format). 2. The same again but in x1 .zip file archive for easy download. (Hope I'm not breaking any rules If I post the link here ?) http://ftp2.grandis.nu/turran/FTP/~U...edi/grapevine/ Enjoy Last edited by Geordie-Jedi; 07 May 2024 at 19:11. @TCD - Thanks very much for letting me know about linking here
Also I'm glad to help, it's nice to be able to contribute something back to the Amiga community. (Again, with the aforementioned help of some very talented people on the forum). |
