Can I NOT update Fallout 4 ?
How can I NOT update Fallout 4 ?
At the moment I have appmanifest_377160.acf write protected --- But it stops the game from running ! Unless I use 'Off-line' mode. Maybe I should just back it up and see what Bethesda F up ? |

First skyrim then this, then probably everything, due to the "success" of their new garbage they are on a mission to make sure their old titles are properly hated by the community while they add more junk, bloat and garbage. unfortunatly the nest solution is to own a totally standalone version like the GOG variants, the old variant ofc and not the "new" one.

Well I decided to disable all my mods and then roll a new LUCY toon, okey dokey
Of course it doesn't help that I do like to run around in almost nothing to see if any of the NPC's notice, but they don't. |

The only real benefit seems to be for Fallout4 console users, improvements over there are apparently substantial enough to warrant the update, the same cannot be said for the pc update. Skyrim was bad enough, adding 12gb of junk nobody wanted, breaking mods, just so they could add an online store, we are just lucky they didnt add rootkit malware like so many games today do...for reasons, still amazed people will install games that grant higher than admin level access which isnt even needed for "anticheat" willingly just so they can play the latest "cool" game such as Helldivers 2 and many more. |

Holy saints are in short numbers these days, i both appreciate such people using up their time for such things but understand why we dont get such people in sufficient quantities. Then take that logic and apply it to any and every forum or chat channel out there. |

Still an important question, though.
I remember setting the update times to hours I wouldn't be logged in and playing the game in offline mode. I downloaded the GOG offline installer when I heard the news of what they were going to do. I think there may still be files around of version 1.9-Something before 'Creation Club' was a thing. |
