edit: Actually there's another option that just came to me. I think ShapeShifter has a ZZ9000 driver, that should work much better in conjunction with the official Mac version Last edited by BSzili; 07 December 2023 at 20:21. |

I'm not aware of a specific ZZ9000 driver for Shapeshifter. I just use myself CardTrickEVD in Direct mode and 1:1 refresh to hit directly the RTG board, ZZ9000 but previously a CV64 3D with same results.
I have upgraded to the ZZ9000 at some point because i needed HDMI to get rid of picture quality problems i had with the Cybervision on modern LCD (that i didn't have with older LCD or CRT of course). Since then, i can't say that the ZZ9000 has been faster to the eye than the CV64-3D in anything i usually do. So it is nowhere a graphic accelerator like some people thinks. Is it limited by the Z3 bus. Now the RTG from the Vampire V2 board, this is something else, it flies. |

I'm not sure if there exist a specific zz9000 driver for shapeshifter, but it supports RTG, so should be faster than AGA. And i always wanted to give shapeshifter a try, so why not yet

Shapeshifter works with ZZ9000 RTG card if you set graphics settings:
- 8 bit 256 colors - Screen type = External - External driver = Picasso96 - Screen mode = ZZ9000 800x600 8bit - Size = 800x600 |

@ BSzili
how about a StarCraft port for 68k as there's been one for OS4.1 for a while now? https://www.amigans.net/modules/newb...m=11&move=next |

Did anyone ever tried that on 68k? Also, I think a lot of the latest posts here should probably be moved to a new thread. Maybe a mod could do that. |

This would be great for PiStorm and Vampire users nowadays as back in 2009 only PPC Amiga users would be able to run this update: Got it working nicely on my A1200, PiStorm32 with 3A+ (though getting a red 'cloud' around the moving units...doesn't affect game play though)but I think it'll be too slow on my A4000 and 060@50 but will give it a try to find out on the weekend. Including apparently an AHI enabled 16bit sound card, is that doing hardware decoding of MP3s or something? Or/is that with an MHI driver? |

It would be interesting to get more info for that card and maybe test results for these games which uses Build engine. https://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/jfsw https://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/pcexhumed |

The fps counter feels like like 060 scaled down to 40 MHz. Which is quite likely, I saw a Sysinfo result of 040/50MHz and it was circa 39 MIPS, as is 060 at the same freq. What's your result on Trinity 040. please? |
