Clipboard sharing bug since v4.0
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open WinUAE, load and start "A1200 A.uae". 2. Let it boot to WB. 3. Copy "some text" from a windows editor. 4. Start shell, press 'Right-Amiga+V', you get "some text". 5. Start a second WinUAE, load and start "A1200 B.uae". 6. Let second WinUAE boot to WB. 7. Quit Second WinUAE. 8. Copy "other text" from a windows editor. 9. Press 'Right-Amiga+V' in Shell in the first WinUAE, you get "some text". In v3.6.1 and earlier the result of step 9 is you get "other text" as expected. There was no relevant info in the log. -Hagbard Celine |

I am having also some troubles with clipboard, I also use a notepad and then copy it over in the amiga, while it works fine most of the times, sometimes it just cease to copy and keeps on using the same clipboard over and over again. I don't know if it has to do with Windows or WinUAE

Whats the main difference between config files? Can you make it happen if you use same config file without changes or single change (disable clipboard sharing?) |

I am sorry, the configs where meant to be identical except pointing to two copies of same WB3.1 disk, and clipboard sharing off on config B.
I believed Clipboard Sharing on/off on config B did not make a difference, but was proven wrong by further testing. I also realized that by setting the floppy to write-protected I could boot two instances from the same config. So I made a new config, and changed steps to reproduce to: 1. Open WinUAE, load and start "A1200 Single.uae". 2. Let it boot to WB. 3. Copy "some text" from a windows editor. 4. Start shell, press 'Right-Amiga+V', you get "some text". 5a. Start a second WinUAE, load "A1200 Single.uae". 5b. Disable Clipboard sharing on second WinUAE. 6. Start second WinUAE. 7. Let second WinUAE boot to WB. 8. Quit Second WinUAE. 9. Copy "other text" from a windows editor. 10. Press 'Right-Amiga+V' in Shell in the first WinUAE. In version 4.1 the result of of step 10 is "some text" following all the steps. And also if skipping step 5b. In version 4.0 result of step 10 is "some text" following all the steps. But if one skip step 5b the result is "other text". In version 3.6.1 the result of step 10 is always "other text" with or without step 5b. |
