But you're right, Lynx Beast version is great. With a gameplay much more balanced than the original and some extra features. |

i knew i would subject myself to this!! but one has to be honest and certainly i always thought this version played better than the original! It's still not amazing but this thread asks about graphic capabilities not about gameplay so then yes SotB is a good candidate

Batman Returns has very good graphics, but it's horribly difficult. Not a good game per se.

I always thought it a shame Sega didn't take up the option on the Lynx. Sure they had their own idea of using the Master System tech, but all that scaling capability would surely have been great at handheld versions of their arcade games of the time.

isn't Gates of Zendocon still doing greatly, considering it was a launch title?

Recently picked up another Lynx II, I had one back in the day. Also it has a modern screen so you can actually see what's going on properly and of course an SD cart so I've been enjoying a number of games. It was a great handheld. Resolution a bit terrible but some of the arcade ports are very impressive.

Zaku is the most impressive game IMO.

Stun Runner and Blue Lightning would probably be my picks for most impressive Lynx games. Whether they are fun... they fall in the category "5 minute games" for me. After 5 minutes I'd rather be doing something else.
I'm liking the look of that Gates of Zendocon though, never played it. It has the tiniest sprites I've ever seen. |
