It's based on MiST and the FPGA is very old these days. Much better off buying a MiSTer. They have boards to make them fit Amiga cases.

Yes, FPGA is old news indeed. FGPA is the future!

When I disable some uBlock stuff and enable some javascript I get the same message. So if you block the responsible resource you should be able to view the page.

They have a new board called MiSTress which is a MiSTer clone. It seems very expensive? It's €110 for the carrier board WITHOUT the DE10-nano FPGA (which is another €186)
How much do the ancillary boards for a MiSTer normally cost? Last edited by alexh; 01 February 2022 at 15:35. |

It's all a moot point anyway because at the moment DE10 boards are made of unobtainium (or scalpium). |

Oooh, no, sorry for the misunderstanding
It is impossible for a Starcraft player to hear (see) the word "carrier" without adding "has arrived" to it. On topic, though, I do plan to get myself this combo, but I am currently discouraged by the availability of DE10 boards. Are they still being manufactured or is there a finite number of them floating around which would mean that things are only going to get worse? |

DE10 is still in production but is also yet another victim of the chip shortage crisis. At the moment most retailers (Mouser, Digikey, etc) list possible availability for July. Some say it is worth trying to inquiry and order directly at Terasic, as they might have small quantities available for individual customers, or have shorter wait times (even if the website is saying it's out of stock).
Also, the official price has gone up to ~200USD (was 130 year or two ago). |

Seems that way. No mention of the Miss500 or 1200 on the site any more.
That would be a shame after putting the effort in to design and produce it. I wonder why... Lack of FPGA supply? That doesn't explain why it wouldn't just be 'Out of stock'. Lack of interest compared with the Mister? It always seemed to sell out within hours. Anyway, no-one can actually buy a De10 Nano board these days and even if you can, the prices have shot up. I managed to get my hands on the Miss 1200 in the end and it's become my main machine for retro stuff. I put it in my 1200 CD32 case and hooked it up to a cheap 4:3 VGA monitor and I couldn't be happier with it. Compatibility with MiST is 100% and that covers 99% of the cores I'm interested in. I hope they continue with it. |
