IFF Editor on Windows
Hi,
I am creating some CD32 menu CD's and need to edit some IFF files. I have tried photoshop but although it saves to Amiga IFF, it shows a corrupt image in the menu system (AGS). Does anyone know of any good IFF Editors on PC (Windows) please? I have tried Photoshop, Gimp, but to no avail. Thanks. |

gimp should work with an appropriate gimp plugin, i recall some worked and some struggled with ham modes, cant remember which is the better plugin but a quick search shows stuff like https://github.com/unwind/gimpilbm which is a fork from an older/original version by an author that passed away in 2003.

thanks, although could it be something to do with the palette or mode from the ags menu to the iff screenshot file? it is displaying but just coloured dots where the iff image is clearly an image if loaded into a paint program?

I use a command line program called NConvert to make the AGS2 themes for Amiga Game Selector. The images are created as standard PNG files in Paint.net and nconvert rescales, reduces the colour palettes and add dither if I need it. It then saves the images as standard IFF ILBM files. I then load them into DPaint to fix the palette so as not to clash with the preview images.
