"Loose" Joystick/Gamepad autoswitcher (unplugs itself !)
Hi everyone !
I use a mouse/joystick autoswitcher (esp. since I use my 1200 in a cabinet). The KMTech one (which is unfortunately incompatible with CD32 pads, BTW). It works well but, it fits loosely in the db9 ports and frequently gets unplugged when I pull my A1200 (which is on a slider drawer of my arcade cabinet). I tried to use a db9 extension cable but the switch doesn't work anymore when used with it. Any idea on how to fix it ? An alternate version (hopefully cd32 compatible ?) or another adapter ? The problem is my 1200 doesn't have its shield anymore, but a 3D printer part with no holes to screw the autoswitcher... Thx so much for your help !!

Hot glue maybe?
If the shield is missing and you can not screw in the plug, other adapters will not solve your issue. |

Hmm... Yep, actually, other db9 connectors I have are not loose at all (and require a bit of force). Contrary to the db9 connector of this switch...

Was the DB9 extension cable definitely an extension cable and not just a normal one where some of the pins are swapped over? If you have a multi meter you could test 1 goes to 1, 2 goes to 2 etc
Hot glue probably work as suggested and could be scrapped off later on |

Well, my arcade stick and my wireless tank mouse both work when directly connected to the extension cable, but not when the autoswitcher is connected to the extension cable
