Help diagnosing 1080 monitor

I have a 1080 that's suffering from a rolling vertical image. It had this problem when I got it ~20 years ago, but now I actually have a use for the monitor(!) and I'd like to try to fix it.

I've been looking at this old thread about a different problem, but it seems to have some good suggestions about adjusting the internal pots. Any other ideas of what I might be in for before I open this thing up?

Given that it had the same rolling image problem when the monitor (and its capacitors) were "only" 15 years old, I'm hoping that this isn't a capacitor-related problem...

Did you adjust the screw on the back? You have to use a small screw driver.

Yes - I could see it affecting the vertical "stretch", but it did not resolve the rolling.

Ho boy, chalk this one up to PEBKAC. Adjusting the V. Hold knob on the front of the monitor cleared it right up. Could swear that I tried that two decades ago, but apparently not...

And right after I printed off the service manual, too.
