A520 on CDTV

First the question, then the reason.

Does an A520 (ntsc if that matters) produce output from a proper functioning CDTV (also ntsc)?

Reason: I’m actually trying to determine if the A520 is functioning or if my A500(ntsc) rev 5 has issues with no signals to its video port. I do have video from its mono composite. My parents still have my childhood a2000 and 1084s packed away but I’d rather not bother them to dig it out unnecessarily. I am trying to liberate it from them though as I did pay/add upgrades to that machine out of my own pocket. A mega chip, rom switcher, gvp hc8+, and an internal super card Ami II for sure just going by memory as well as a golden image mouse

It should - videoport is same in all Amiga models equipped with videoport. A520 is not particularly reliable product.
