Amiga B2000 rev 4 Quarries

I just purchased a B2000 rev4 system from Germany with cam 8088 bridge board and ide card.

I have read in a number of places it a bad one to own and others say that rev was never release. Pics I have seen show dip Agnus while mine has square fat lady chip. It clearly says rev 4 Dave Haynie and another name. But seems to be different than described in ahw manuals.

Any advice please.

It sounds like you're mixing up the original German-designed A2000 with the later US-designed B2000.

Board revision numbers are not related for the two different designs. You have a B2000 if it has Fat Agnus

When he says "from Germany", I guess he was refering to the seller's location.

He knows he has a B2000, as that is what he wrote.

The B2000 had a rev. 4.x as well of which 4.0 was never released.

Right, any board pics showing a DIP Agnus will be of the German-designed A2000.

I will post a picture when home. Rev number is just 4. Nothing else.

Most likely a rev. 4.1. I think that still only had "Rev. 4" printed on the board. But we will see from the picture.
