OS 3.2 (patched to 3.2.2.1) and Video Toaster breakage.
Hello, I have been trying to set up my Toaster Oven. After installing the OS, Updates, then the Hotfix, then intalling the zz9000 drivers (along with their requirements of Roadshow, P96, AHI), and then the Toaster software (3.5 and 4.3), things stop working correctly.
In this particular case, these things (so far as I have seen) are the Execute Command and Icon->Information drop downs from the menu do nothing. Are there libraries, things that the software replaces that breasks 3.2.2.1? I do notice that the 'Starting Rexx' dialog mentions that Rexx is already started. |

With SnoopDos pointing out window.class, I made sure to replace it with the one from the update... didn't quite work, so installed the update again... still no luck. Tried to find where it is loading it from... and the 'find' option complains about not having at least version 44! No clue where it is getting that from as I have version 47.63 in SYS:Classes. SnoopDOS says it is loading it from LIBS:Classes, which doesn't seem to exist.

To test you can use Exchange and close the RAWBInfo commodity and see if Icon->Information starts working again. |

I am digging through the startup script to see if the Toaster software is overriding where window.class is loading from. |

I think I figured it out (at least managed to get the VT 3.1 install fixed.)
There are some libraries that it blasts over. Took DOpus and copied over from a working backup, and it fixed things. diskfont.library may be the actual culprit, as I missed that one the first time around. Guess the real question is, does the toaster stuff work... Last edited by slaapliedje; 13 November 2023 at 02:51. |
